The difference between this house and its neighbour is one word: heated. The pool here is warm when the ocean is not, which makes this the house to book in April, in October, and on the weeks either side of summer when the Outer Banks is at its best and its emptiest.
Four bedrooms sleep eight, with two king suites, a queen room and a bunk room. Both king bedrooms are en-suite. There is a dedicated workspace, which matters more than it sounds when someone in the group is stretching a holiday into a remote-work week.
White board-and-batten, three decks stacked up the back of the house, and a pool deck that catches sun from late morning onwards.

“Absolutely wonderful beach getaway. My husband and I wanted a nice family vacation before all our kids went back to college/school. The house fit our family of 7 very comfortably. No complaints with the beds. The kitchen had everything we needed when preparing all our meals. Plenty of space for everyone to do their own things. The pool and hot tub were an added bonus. The drive to the beach took no time at all and we even walked it on some days too since it was so close. The amount of wild horses we saw on a daily basis was amazing!! All in all we had a wonderful vacation.”
“We had a great stay! The location was excellent, and my family really enjoyed our time in the house. The house is right by the beach, our favorite thing was being able to walk to the beach at night with the family including my two young girls. The host Joe, was spectacular. He was very attentive and responsive to any questions I had and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. One important thing to know is that you must have a true 4WD vehicle to access the area. We also enjoy the 8 miles drive on the beach from the main road.”
“This part of OBX is really neat to experience. The horses are the coolest and we loved not having to walk to the beach or carry anything. We just packed up the car and drove there. The house was great and exactly as advertized, it was very clean, fully stocked kitchen and the beds were comfy! Joe was very helpful with any questions we had and would definitely book again.”
